Phoenix, United States - May 31, 2025 05/31/2025 02:30 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix police and Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to reports of a collision with entrapment at the intersection of 7th Street and Elwood Street around 2:00 a.m. Crews arrived to find a three-vehicle collision involving an Amazon semi truck, a sedan, and a crossover SUV. A female driver was found trapped inside the involved sedan. Firefighters utilized heavy extrication equipment to cut the driver out of the sedan. The female patient was transported to a local trauma center with serious injuries. An additional unidentified patient was also transported to a local trauma center in unknown condition. The collision resulted in a hard closure for 7th Street. The closure was established to the north and south of Elwood Street. Phoenix PD is investigating the collision.
