The mission marked the program’s 12th human spaceflight and its 32nd overall flight. The spacecraft lifted off from Launch Site One in West Texas, continuing Blue Origin’s efforts to expand access to space for private individuals, researchers, and professionals. The crew included Aymette Medina Jorge, a K-12 STEM teacher, Dr. Gretchen Green, a radiologist turned explorer, Jaime Alemán, former Panamanian ambassador to the United States, Jesse Williams, businessman, Mark Rocket, aerospace executive, and Paul Jeris, entrepreneur. With this flight, New Shepard has now flown 64 people into space, including four individuals who have traveled twice. Named after Alan Shepard, the first American in space, New Shepard is a fully autonomous, reusable rocket system designed for both crewed and scientific missions. It is powered by a BE-3PM engine, which runs on a clean mix of liquid hydrogen and oxygen, emitting only water vapor with zero carbon emissions. Blue Origin stated that the mission successfully demonstrated the spacecraft’s reliability and commitment to environmentally conscious space travel. Writing by Sibel Uygun
