NORFOLK, Va. — Sailors assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Stout (DDG 55) returned to Naval Station Norfolk following an eight-month deployment with the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group (HSTCSG).

During the deployment, HSTCSG operated in the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas, conducting combat operations in the Red Sea and participating in joint exercises with NATO allies. The group completed more than 13,000 sorties and logged 25,000 flight hours while sailing over 240,000 combined nautical miles.

The strike group’s return marks the successful completion of a global mission that strengthened maritime security and international partnerships.
