Firemen worked together to extract an exhausted kitten that had been trapped in a motorcycle for more than eight hours.

Footage shows the volunteers shining a torch on the vehicle's engine, revealing a tired moggy inside in South Sumatra, Indonesia.

The team carefully removed parts of the two-wheeler because the feline was squeezed deep inside.

They guided it to the side, where they gently pulled the cover down to make space and successfully pulled the cat out on May 29.

The operation lasted ten minutes.

Pet owner Hafid Zainul said: 'My younger brother heard the kitten first. We checked and found it there.

'My mum said the cat had probably been there since noon. We found the cat by 9pm. We tried to remove it on our own but the space was too narrow for us to reach inside.'
