This is the dramatic moment a home was rocked by a magnitude 4.5 earthquake that struck northern Thailand today.

CCTV footage shows the exterior of a residence in Doi Saket, Chiang Mai province, where household appliances can be seen visibly shaking during the tremor on Monday, June 2.

The quake struck Mae Pang Subdistrict in Phrao District at approximately 2:07 pm, with a shallow depth of 1 kilometre.

Tremors were reportedly felt across northern Thailand, including the provinces of Mae Hong Son, Phayao, and Lampang.

Chiang Mai Governor Nirun Phongsitthaworn directed officials in Phrao District and nearby areas to assess the effects of the tremor.

Initial reports indicated no injuries, fatalities, or significant structural damage.
