Resident horrified by creepy mass of worms moving across floor
A resident was horrified after discovering a creepy mass of hundreds of worms crawling together outside her home.
Footage shows the squirming cluster writhing in unison on the concrete ground in Lanao del Sur, the Philippines.
The bugs were knotted together in an 18-inch-long chain and were only a step away from Asmalia Hadji Salic's feet.
Asmalia said she was about to start work when she spotted the insects.
She said: 'I was going to work when I saw them. It was the first time I had seen anything like they. They were super weird.'
Worms can sometimes cluster in groups for survival. The behaviour is more often seen in earthworms, where they huddle together to stay moist, regulate their body temperature, or avoid predators.
