On June 3, a sudden landslide occurred in Guyi Town, Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County, Liuzhou, Guangxi.

Video footage from the scene shows a row of vehicles parked near the edge of a slope, with the ground beneath them having eroded away. Several cars fell one after another, and part of the road surface was damaged and cracked.

The Sanjiang Dong Autonomous County government responded, stating that local police, emergency services, and the urban management bureau arrived at the scene promptly after the incident. Fortunately, no casualties were reported.

A total of six vehicles fell into the collapsed area. So far, rescuers have used a winch on a rescue vehicle to pull out two of the cars, and with the help of bystanders, a third was also retrieved. The remaining three cars are more severely trapped due to how they fell and will require specialised equipment to be safely removed. Rescue efforts are ongoing.

A government official noted that it had been raining in the area recently, but whether the landslide and vehicle fall were directly related to the rainfall still requires assessment by experts.
