But in a moment that left them shaken and deeply moved, Maxi may have found a way to remind them he’s still watching over them.

Captured on security footage, an unmistakable whine echoed through the house—the same cry Maxi used to call for attention. Lupe, busy checking emails in the living room, stopped in his tracks, recognizing the sound instantly. His foster dog, Phoebe, also reacted, looking toward Lupe with wide eyes.

As emotions ran high, Lupe rushed to Maxi’s old room, searching for his presence, overwhelmed by the rawness of the moment. But then came an eerie revelation: a viewer pointed out something extraordinary—a faint silhouette beneath the coffee table, appearing right after the sound.

Lupe was working that morning and checking emails in the living room area when he heard Maxi’s voice, the same cry Maxi would do to get our attention. Phoebe (the Chihuahua on the couch ) was our foster dog who also heard the cry and they looked at each other. Lupe got very emotional and went to Maxi’s room looking for him, we have been very emotional since he passed. When we posted the video, someone pointed out Maxi’s silhouette under the coffee table. We were able to see him right after the sound. That video brought a lot of emotions but mainly, we are extremely grateful he came to see us.
