National co-director of Standing Together, which is a Jewish Palestinian grassroots movement inside... today we are about to start a march or three days heading from Tel Aviv, Jaffa to the borders with Gaza. The aim of this march is to show that there is a bigger resistance from within the Israeli society against this war, this war of annihilation, the destruction, the starvation in Gaza, and to demand a stop to to this war. So we're going to be marching today, tomorrow until Friday. We're going to have, bigger demonstrations of thousands of people with more organizations at the borders of Gaza to give a voice from the people living in here who refused for this war to continue to refuse the destruction and refuse to the hunger and starvation in Gaza." 3. VARIOUS OF ACTIVISTS MARCHING, HOLDING BANNERS AND FLAGS WITH PURPLE CLOTHESTEL AVIV, ISRAEL - JUNE 4: A group of Israeli activists gathered in Tel Aviv on Wednesday, June 4, and launched a three-day march toward the Gaza border, calling for an immediate halt to Israel’s military operations in the besieged enclave. Organized by “Standing Together,” a Jewish-Palestinian grassroots movement, the march aims to express growing domestic opposition to the war in Gaza. Protesters began their walk from Tel Aviv and Jaffa, with plans to reach the border area by Friday, where larger demonstrations involving thousands of people and various civil society groups are expected to take place. “We’ll be marching today, tomorrow, and until Friday,” said one activist. “We will hold larger demonstrations with thousands of people and more organizations joining us — to amplify the voices of those who reject this war, reject the destruction, and reject the hunger inflicted on Gaza.” The march underscores deepening divisions within Israeli society and reflects increasing calls from some citizens to end the military campaign and prioritize humanitarian concerns. The Israeli army, rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, has pursued a brutal offensive against Gaza since October 2023, killing more than 54,600 Palestinians, most of them women and children. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war crimes against civilians in the enclave.
