This is the heroic moment station guards saved a female police officer when she slipped from a moving train carriage in India.

The clumsy officer was attempting to board the coach at Ara Railway Station in Bihar on June 1 when she suddenly lost her balance.

CCTV footage shows the commuter falling into the gap between carriages, with quick-thinking guards rushing to her aid and pulling her to safety.

Local reports said the traveller did not sustain any serious injuries and was later accommodated in another vehicle.
