Garland, United States - June 03, 2025 At least one person died in rising floodwaters in Texas overnight, authorities said, as the Midwest and parts of the South were battered by storms, flooding and suspected tornadoes. Dallas Fire-Rescue said in a statement that a boat team found two submerged vehicles in the north of the city. The fire department said early reports indicated two people were seen leaving one vehicle, but rescuers had to wait for water levels to fall before searching a second vehicle. Unfortunately, once first responders were able to search the second vehicle, they found one adult male still inside who was pronounced dead, the departmentʚs public information officer said.
