GAZA, PALESTINE - JUNE 4, 2025: A delegation from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) visited Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza City, which was severely damaged and rendered inoperable by an Israeli airstrike, on Wednesday, June 4. The delegation toured the hospital to assess the extent of the destruction. Hospital Director Dr. Fadel Naim accompanied the delegation, briefing them on the facility’s current condition and the challenges faced in delivering health services following the attack. The UN said Wednesday that all hospitals in North Gaza are now non-operational due to Israeli military operations, as aid deliveries also remain obstructed by repeated access denials by Israel. The Israeli army, rejecting international calls for a ceasefire, has pursued a brutal offensive against Gaza since October 2023, killing more than 54,600 Palestinians, most of them women and children. Last November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
