This is the heartwarming moment a passerby saved a drowning bird from a pond in China.

Two men spotted the white-eared bulbul struggling in the water in Jiangsu province on June 4.

One of them quickly sprang into action, using a broom and dustpan to rescue the helpless creature.

Footage shows the kindhearted local crouching at the edge of the pit as he carefully reached out to the bird with the cleaning tools.

After successfully scooping the feathered creature to safety, he gently picked it up to check for any injuries.

In another clip, the man can be seen calmly holding the white-eared bulbul and petting it before releasing it onto the grass.

The bird reportedly did not sustain any injuries from the incident.
