This is the terrifying moment a yacht exploded at a marina in Turkey, leaving at least three people injured.

Dramatic footage shows the captain untangling a rope from the 40ft (12m) vessel named Aslan at Milta Marina in Bodrum, Mugla, on Wednesday, June 4.

Just a few seconds after entering the cabin, the boat suddenly exploded, with flames seen emerging from the lower part of the vessel.

Emergency crews and volunteers quickly rushed in with fire extinguishers as a large plume of smoke rose from the burning boat.

Reports suggest the blast was likely caused by an electrical fault, occurring shortly after the yacht had refuelled and was preparing to leave the fuel pier.

Officials confirmed that two people aboard were injured, one suffered a broken leg and the other a dislocated shoulder. An individual onshore was also wounded.

Authorities are still investigating the incident.
