This is the shocking moment two cars fell into a sinkhole in China.

The white subcompact SUV and the grey sedan plunged into the gaping pit that suddenly opened in the middle of a highway in Henan province.

Dashcam footage shows both vehicles dropping into the road cavity on June 4.

In another clip, the cars are seen stacked on top of each other while drivers and passengers climb out of the massive hole.

Upon witnessing the incident, passersby rushed to help and temporarily barricaded the area using yellow rental bikes while waiting for police and paramedics.

When emergency crews arrived, they cordoned off the sinkhole and closed the road until repairs could begin.

Local media reported that no one was seriously injured, although both vehicles sustained heavy damage.
