GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - JUNE 7, 2025: Israel conducted an airstrike on a group of civilians on Saturday, June 7, the second day of Eid al-Adha, killing several Palestinians, including children. The strike targeted civilians near Dar Al-Arqam School, a shelter for displaced people, in the al-Tuffah neighborhood. The bodies of the deceased and the injured were taken to al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, where grieving relatives bid tearful farewells to their loved ones. Nearly 100 Palestinians were reported killed in Israeli airstrikes and gunfire across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip during Eid al-Adha. Beginning early Saturday, Israeli forces killed at least 65 Palestinians and injured around 100 more in Gaza, according to Palestinian sources. On Friday alone, the first day of Eid al-Adha, 33 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes and shelling across several areas of the Gaza Strip. With two Eids (major Muslim holidays) per year under the Muslim calendar system, this is the fourth Eid for Gazans since October 2023, when Israel launched a genocidal war which has killed nearly 54,800 Palestinians, created famine conditions, and left the enclave all but uninhabitable.
