On June 5th, at Fantawild Adventure Park in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, a roller coaster called Storm Eye malfunctioned mid-ride, leaving passengers hanging upside down for several minutes.

A witness, Ms. Song, said: “They were riding as usual when it suddenly stopped. It lasted about three to five minutes. My hands were shaking from fear as I filmed it.”

One of the riders suspended in the air described the experience: “My head was hanging down, I felt dizzy — it only lasted a few minutes, but it truly felt like a life-or-death moment.”

According to the park, the malfunction was caused by a coin that had fallen from a rider and slipped into the equipment, triggering an emergency brake and shutdown. The amusement park quickly initiated emergency procedures, and all riders were safely brought down within minutes. No injuries were reported.

Customer service representatives stated that the issue has since been resolved in coordination with the affected visitors.
