Federal law enforcement and immigration officers arrested 72 undocumented immigrants in South Carolina.

The individuals were apprehended by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) at a nightclub in Charleston on Sunday, June 1.

A suspected member of the Los Zetas Cartel allegedly operates the venue.

Officers executed a search warrant at the unlicensed establishment, resulting in the arrest of 72 people, including several with serious prior offences.

Six minors, including one who had been reported missing, were also recovered and handed over to state social services.

Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the US Department of Homeland Security, said: 'Day in and day out, the brave men and women of ICE are working with local law enforcement to keep American communities safe.

'Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, fugitives and law breakers are on notice. Leave now, or ICE will find you and deport you.'

Authorities also seized firearms, large amounts of cash, suspected narcotics, and several vehicles during the operation.

In Los Angeles, protesters took to the streets to oppose ICE raids amid an ongoing crime crackdown.

Several vehicles were also set ablaze during the rallies. Waymo self-driving taxis, owned by Google, were also targeted in the violence.

The attacks, which critics claim are funded by hard-left NGOs, were in response to recent large-scale enforcement actions conducted by ICE.

Trump, known for his hardline nationalist and anti-immigrant rhetoric, has promised a sweeping crackdown on undocumented and illegal immigrants in the country.

On his first day of office, he declared a 'national emergency' at the southern border with Mexico.

He has also issued a memo telling the US Agency for International Development to adopt an 'America First' policy, threatening sanctions on staff who refuse to obey.

Dozens of deportation flights have also taken off, sending illegals back to their homeland in handcuffs.
