This is the heroic moment firefighters revived a pet cat rescued from an apartment fire using oxygen and CPR.

Emergency responders found the distressed feline inside a burning first-floor unit of a 12-story building in Surgut, Russia.

Firefighter Ilya Polyakov carried the creature to safety, administered oxygen, and performed chest compressions, successfully reviving the animal.

Authorities said the blaze broke out on May 28 and prompted the evacuation of at least 30 residents, including 10 children. Two individuals, one of them a child, were rescued by firefighters using specialized equipment.

The flames, which spanned approximately 30 square metres, were extinguished by 19 rescuers with the support of six units from the Russian Emergency Ministry.
