This is the hilarious moment a golf beginner sent a rubber tee soaring down a driving range instead of the ball.

Ayu Ryuku Guevarra and her boyfriend went on a date and decided to play golf for the first time at Golffirst in Tarlac, the Philippines.

Footage shows the woman in a focused stance, poised to strike the ball, on May 31.

However, she accidentally struck the black rubber tee, sending it flying across the field while the white ball simply dropped to the ground.

The amusing blunder left the pair in fits of laughter, with Ayu eventually sinking to the floor in disbelief.

She said: 'We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday in advance and had lunch at the restaurant before trying golf for the first time. Since we were new to this, we just wanted to have fun and enjoy the experience, even if we weren't very good at it.'
