Paratebueno, Colombia - June 10, 2025 Eight people and a dog were rescued by helicopter after severe flooding isolated them in a rural area. Heavy rains caused the Humea River to overflow, flooding the region and leaving residents stranded. A UH60 Blackhawk helicopter from Combat Air Command No. 2 carried out the rescue operation. The mission was coordinated with the National Personnel Recovery Center and included pilots, flight crew, and rescuers. The nighttime rescue saved the group, who had been suffering due to the harsh weather conditions.
