Los Angeles, United States - June 11, 2025 06/10/2025 05:47 pm GMT-0700 APPLE VALLEY, Calif. – On Tuesday afternoon, reports emerged about a vegetation fire burning on the hillside near Tussing Ranch Road and Round Up Way in Apple Valley. The flames sparked around 1:37 p.m., coinciding with the departure of a male resident from his home. Concern arose that he might be near the fire, but he was later located safe. As the fire progressed, it grew to over 1,500 acres. Incident commanders reported multiple threats to nearby structures. In response, several fire engines and hand crews were dispatched to provide immediate structure protection. Multiple firefighting aircraft were working the incident. The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time, as well as the containment of the fire.
