The demonstration began shortly after sunset and continued into the evening, with protesters chanting slogans, holding signs, and demanding an end to what they described as “aggressive and unjust” enforcement actions targeting immigrant communities. Organizers stated that the goal of the protest was to disrupt operations at the hotel, which they believe is housing ICE personnel. “Our communities are being separated, families are being separated, our voices are not being heard, democracy is being threatened by the man who sits in that chair,” said Elizabeth Garcia, a demonstrator. Hotel staff did not confirm the presence of ICE agents on the premises. The protest is part of a wave of demonstrations seen in several cities in response to a surge in deportations and workplace raids carried out by federal authorities in recent weeks.
