Storyline: The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 55,104, with 127,394 others injured, since the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted on Oct 7, 2023, Gaza's health authorities announced on Wednesday. On Wednesday alone, Israeli military actions caused 123 deaths with 474 others injured, according to the announcement. On that day, Israeli combatants fired at Palestinians at an aid distribution center in Gaza, causing the death of 57 civilians and 363 people injured. The distribution center was set up by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, a private agency backed by the U.S. and Israel.
