A Donald Trump impersonator has gone viral after his funny sketches racked up over a million views on TikTok.

Steven Galloni from Scotland posted several clips of his Trump character 'Big Donnie' on his account - but was not expecting the reaction.

His videos first published two weeks ago ridiculed his spat with Tesla, X and SpaceX boss Elon Musk.

They also talk of Trump on nights out and him getting up to his day-to-day life while using Scottish colloquialisms.

Filmed in his car or at his flat Steven holds his phone up and does his impressions which have amounted thousands of likes and comments.

He said that many Scottish Americans, Americans and English have been "loving" his videos - including a grandad who "hates" Trump and ill grannies in hospital beds."

Steven, 34, who was born in Italy but raised in Dumbarton, said: "I love doing impressions and accents. I have been doing it since I was five years old."

"Any character that is out there I will try and impersonate and that even goes for people in my life. I always started off imitating friends and then naturally went over to celebrities. "

"Trump is such a character. Love him or hate him you can't deny he is pretty entertaining and funny. I just started getting better and better at his voice."

"The Scottish twist on it that happened organically. I don't take myself too serious. If we can smile and forget about our problems for two minutes that is what I am all about."

Steven admitted that at first he was "a little worried" with people's reactions to his Trump impersonations. "

But he said that many Scottish Americans, people from Texas, US and England have been "loving" his videos - including a grandad who "hates" Trump."

He said: "I have done one that is doing quite well where I was calling out Ellon Musk for a fight. "

"In Scotland we would call that a 'square-go' when you are calling someone for a fight."

"It is very Scottish colloquialisms that seem to resonate so well."

Steven who is also a stand up comedian, DJ, restaurant owner and singer in a band said that what motivates him to do these videos is to "make people smile"."

And in the space of two weeks he has managed to gain a huge number of followers - including ill grannies laughing in their hospital beds.

He said: "The comments have been so overwhelmingly positive. For such a polarised character like Trump is really quite cool to be honest that everyone is just coming together for the comedy and putting differences aside."

"I was in a cafe and I was recognised and this woman must have been around 70-years-old and she was saying she loved my TikTok's. "

"I had another woman messaging me saying that her granny had been ill in the hospital and that my videos are the only thing cheering her up."

"Someone was telling me that their grandpa who absolutely hates Trump was laughing his head off at my videos doing Trump impressions."

"I'm just happy to make people smile. The fact that people are showing some comedy to their grannies and making them laugh and giving them a bit of joy honestly that is what makes it worth it for me."

In the future Steven is planning to give voice to Gordon Ramsey, David Attenborough, Brian Cox and Tyson Fury.
