Dozens of flights were grounded, leaving travelers stranded in the terminal on Saturday, June 14. Similar airspace closures were implemented in Israel, Iran, and Jordan, causing widespread disruptions across the region. Flight tracking data from Flightradar24 showed a sharp drop in air traffic as airlines rerouted or canceled services. Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency barred its airlines from flying over Israel, Iran, Jordan, and Lebanon, while major carriers like Emirates, Qatar Airways, and Flydubai suspended operations. Turkish budget airline AJet canceled all flights to Iran, Iraq, and Jordan until Monday. The disruptions came after reported Israeli airstrikes targeted several locations in Iran, including Tehran, Isfahan, and nuclear facilities. Iranian state media claimed senior military officials were among the casualties.
