US, Los Angeles: Los Angeles-Downtown No Kings Day Protest Part 4
Los Angeles, United States - June 14, 2025 06/14/2025 02:00 pm GMT-0700 DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Footage shows Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies in riot gear staging north of City Hall. Deputies were seen deploying into the crowd to assist the Los Angeles Police Department. Deputies, who were also on horseback, were observed keeping an eye on protesters. Thousands of protesters took to the streets across the nation this morning, including in Los Angeles, to denounce President Donald Trump’s policies during a demonstration dubbed “No Kings Day.” The No Kings protest in Los Angeles was fueled by recent actions of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in the city and Trump’s decision to mobilize the National Guard to assist federal agents during last week’s demonstrations. No Kings Day coincides with a parade in Washington, D.C., which marks the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States Army, and also falls on the president's 79th birthday. Last week’s protests against ICE in downtown Los Angeles began peacefully but escalated into violence, resulting in injuries to both protesters and law enforcement, as well as significant property damage. Law enforcement agencies in Los Angeles are preparing for large crowds during the No Kings march and are taking precautions to address any potential violent outbreaks.
