Hongkongers protest and sing pro-democracy anthem ahead of Royal Mint Court 'mega embassy' decision in London
Protesters opposed to the new Chinese Embassy plans gathered for another protest outside Royal Mint Court, Tower Hill where the three-part demonstration included two rallies and a procession around the local area with participants bearing Union flags and placards (June 14).
At the end of the demonstration, the crowd sang a well-known pro-democracy anthem, which has been banned in Hong Kong.
A decision - either to approve, or turn down the plans is expected to be made soon by Deputy Prime Minister and Communities Minister, Angela Rayner.
Critics to the plans outline national security concerns, increased surveillance and transnational repression.
