Storyline: Buildings and vehicles were damaged in the city of Ramat Gan on Friday following retaliatory airstrikes launched by Iran, with explosions heard in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, two largest cities in Israel. First responders and firefighters assessed the aftermath in Ramat Gan, while rescue teams and paramedics evacuated residents trapped inside shelters. Bar, a local resident, described the chaos during the previous night's attacks. On Saturday morning, CGTN stringer Tony from Haifa, another Israeli city, recounted the previous night's terror and the pervasive fear of further escalation. He said locals had endured numerous rocket attacks in the past, the current situation had left streets deserted and residents profoundly concerned. Though still cherishing the hope for peaceful resolution, the population remained braced for all possible outcomes. The escalation began when Israel launched a large-scale airstrike against Iran earlier on Friday, targeting over 200 military and nuclear facilities across the country. Hours later, Iran retaliated by firing hundreds of missiles and launching drone attacks at multiple Israeli cities. Official reports confirm at least three deaths and dozens of injuries in Israel from the overnight attack. Shotlist: Ramat Gan, Israel - June 14, 2025: 1. SOUNDBITE (English) Bar (full name not given), local resident: "In Ramat Gan, most of the buildings here don't have a sufficient shelter. So we were running to the neighborhood shelter in the elementary school. While we were running and turning down to the shelter, we had a major shock wave. Apparently, as you can tell from the devastation, missile apparently hit probably like the bull's eye of this building. So the shock wave was pretty tremendous, overall, overnight we were running between across our homes for the shelter again." 3. Vehicles 4. Various of damaged buildings, traffic lights 5.
