Russia - June 15, 2025 Rescuers from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations evacuated an injured tourist from the Borus Ridge after a dangerous fall. The man had fallen from a height of five meters while hiking in the mountains. A rescue team reached him on foot by evening after receiving the distress call earlier in the day. Due to the steep terrain and the man's condition, rescuers decided to wait until morning for an air evacuation. The injured tourist spent the night on the rocky slope, accompanied by the South Siberian Rescue Unit of the Russian Emergency Ministry. At dawn, a Mi-8 helicopter was dispatched to the site. Despite strong winds and rugged terrain, the crew successfully airlifted the man from the remote location. He was flown to Abakan and handed over to medical personnel.
