This is the amusing moment a soldier and a toddler squared off in a push-up competition in Thailand.

Footage captured by onlooker Sirikarn Thamwong shows the officer and the young girl planking in the middle of the pavement surrounded by spectators during a military event in Nakhon Si Thammarat, on June 16.

A host was heard ordering the pair to perform the exercise, and the soldier immediately lowered his body by bending his elbows. The youngster briefly stared before following suit and mimicking the exercise with her tiny limbs as best as she could.

Onlookers cheered as the child tried to keep up with her adversary, impressively holding her weight in a planking position.

After the contest, both stood at attention, with the toddler adorably dusting her hands off with a flourish.
