This is the amusing moment a pet dog gave his owner a personal wake-up cuddle in bed.

Arsenio Nidoy was sleeping beside his wife when their phone alarm rang in Doha, Qatar.

This triggered Thunder, their three-year-old Maltese mix, to immediately grab the man's slippers in his mouth and jump onto the bed to drop them off.

CCTV footage shows Arsenio removing the flip-flops from the mattress and tossing them back onto the floor.

Unfazed, the persistent pooch hopped down to retrieve the slippers again and placed them back beside the sleepy keeper.

Wanting a few more minutes of rest, Arsenio hid the slippers behind the headboard and pulled Thunder in for a cuddle, hoping the pup would stop.

But moments later, Thunder began pawing at his owner's arm in a determined effort to get him up.

Arsenio said: 'Thunder does this every single time the alarm rings. Honestly, I think he takes his job more seriously than I do.'
