This is the hilarious moment a woman accidentally brought home a stray cat in China.

Ms Yang mistakenly took in a white and grey feline, believing her roommate's pet had gone missing in Hefei, Anhui, on November 20.

However, after bringing the cat inside and preparing to feed it, she noticed another identical feline sitting on the sofa, warily watching the newcomer.

Footage shows the moggie impostor greedily tucking into food from a bowl while the real pet cat eyed it from a distance.

Baffled by the unexpected encounter, Yang couldn't help but laugh at the mix-up.

She said: 'It was so memorable that every time I think about it, I laugh. I couldn't believe what had happened.'

Fearing that the two cats might fight, she and her roommate later decided to release the stray back outside.
