Rescuers save little girl trapped in car for over 30 minutes at gas station
This is the dramatic moment a toddler was rescued after being trapped inside a locked SUV for more than half an hour at a petrol station in Thailand.
The one-year-old girl was stuck inside the white vehicle as both of her parents used the toilet at a petrol station in Nakhon Ratchasima on June 13.
When the couple returned, they found that the doors had been locked with the child still inside the car.
A pump attendant, seeing the pair gesturing frantically for their daughter to press the unlock switch, called a rescue team for help.
Footage shows the volunteers trying to pry the door open as the tot's parents watched her from the transparent windows. The pig-tailed toddler was seen curiously observing the crowd around her from inside the SUV.
The rescuers finally opened the door after 30 minutes, and the child was reunited with her relieved parents.
Speaking after the ordeal, they said: ‘We stopped at the petrol station to use the toilet for a while, but she accidentally pressed the lock button, causing us to be unable to open the door. We've learned our lesson. We will never leave our daughter unattended in the car again.'
