This is the dramatic moment a maid prays with an elderly resident in Israel during a missile bombardment, amid escalating regional tensions with Iran.

Heartwrenching footage shows Filipino caregiver Jenny Rose covering her ears as she sits beside her pensioner employer in Ramat HaSharon while explosions echo in the background on Saturday, June 14.

Jenny Rose said: 'We don't have a bomb shelter in the house, so we just stayed seated in the middle area between the bathroom and bedroom. We were both really scared and praying hard.

'You could clearly hear the explosions inside. Sometimes, the Iron Dome fails to intercept the missiles, causing direct hits on homes. That's what we were most afraid of, so we eventually went to the public bomb shelter.'

The incident comes amid escalating regional tensions following Israeli airstrikes on Iranian targets on Friday, June 13.

The Israeli military said that Iran had launched a counterattack involving more than 100 drones.

Among those reportedly killed were Hossein Salami, commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, a key branch of the nation's military, and several nuclear scientists.
