Upon arrival, officers found the male suspect suffering from a gunshot wound to the cheek. He was treated at the scene and transported to Los Robles Hospital, where his condition is unknown. Initial reports suggest the suspect may have been attempting to enter the residence to see a woman who lives there, though this information has not been confirmed. The resident was seen being questioned by officers and is fully cooperating with the investigation. No further details were immediately available.
