Iran fired more than 20 missiles in retaliation for recent Israeli attacks, with some directly hitting targets around the capital Tel Aviv and in the southern Negev region, reports said. The Israeli military confirmed late Wednesday that Iran had launched a new barrage of missiles toward Israel. “The Israeli army identified that missiles were recently launched from Iran towards Israel,” the military said in a statement on X (formerly Twitter). Tensions in the region have sharply escalated since Friday, when Israel conducted airstrikes on multiple sites across Iran, including military and nuclear facilities.
