Phoenix, United States - June 18, 2025 06/17/2025 11:22 pm GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix Fire Department Press Release: A working commercial fire in a vacant building has been extinguished tonight in the area of Cave Creek Road and Cactus Road in Phoenix. Firefighters were called to the scene at 11:30 p.m. and arrived to find dark smoke coming from the front and rear of the building. Crews began an aggressive interior attack on the flames while simultaneously clearing the structure of any potential victims. The fire was then quickly extinguished with no extension spreading to the nearby buildings. At this time, the origin and cause of the fire are under investigation by the Phoenix Fire Investigations Task Force, and no injuries have been reported at the scene.
