This is the heartwarming moment raccoons were spotted playing inside their new enclosure in Washington.

Footage shows the pair of young mammals, Bluebell and Hickory, enjoying their latest outdoor habitat furniture.

Northwest Trek Wildlife Park officials said: 'The one-year-old rascals celebrated by immediately turning the place into a wrestling ring.

'There were somersaults, sneak-attacks, and dramatic flopping. The new logs are now officially part jungle gym, part tag zone, and part deluxe nap suite.'

Raccoons are highly intelligent and curious animals known for their playful behaviour, especially when young. They often engage in social play that helps develop their coordination and problem-solving skills.
