Ceiling collapses onto customers having their nails done in salon
This is the dramatic moment a ceiling collapsed onto customers having their nails done in a salon.
CCTV footage shows a nail technician painting her client's nails when they suddenly heard a loud noise, seconds before the roof came crashing down in Chonburi, Thailand.
The pair scurried away from the table, jumping out of their chairs as damaged plywood fell to the ground, narrowly escaping the plunging panels on June 13.
Three other women inside the salon stood frozen alongside the frightened customer and the technician.
The shop owner reportedly assisted her customers and employees outside to safety and called her older brother to check what had happened.
She said: 'While I was waiting for my brother, more ceiling panels continued to fall, so I also called a repair technician.'
Upon inspecting the area above the shop, the repairman discovered that a tree had fallen near the building due to strong winds.
The impact had caused a tremor that cracked the ceiling.
The shop owner added: 'I've been trying to reach the customer in the video because she was new and hadn't provided any contact information. I want to offer her a free nail session as a gesture of apology and to make up for the frightening experience.'
No injuries were reported from the incident.
