US, Phoenix: Phoenix Possible Armed Kidnapping Investigation
Phoenix, United States - June 19, 2025 06/19/2025 12:30 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – At approximately 12:30 a.m. Thursday, several valley law enforcement agencies were heard broadcasting an "attempt to locate" bulletin over dispatch frequencies at the request of Avondale Police. The bulletin notified law enforcement personnel about an armed kidnapping where a victim was forced into a vehicle at gunpoint. Law enforcement agencies across Maricopa County were told to be on the lookout for a white Chrysler with an Arizona license plate of "REA1L1". At approximately 2:30 a.m., we located an active investigation involving Avondale police and Phoenix police in a parking lot near the intersection of 39th Avenue and McDowell Road. A large crime scene was established around a white Chrysler Town & Country minivan with the Arizona license plate "REA1L1". It is unknown if the van was occupied when it was located by police. The exact time at which officers located the van has yet to be determined. It is unknown if the victim or suspect(s) are outstanding. The front left tire was shredded down to the rim, and stains that resembled blood could be seen splattered on the exterior of the vehicle and smeared on large areas of the front passenger seat. Avondale police were seen documenting evidence in the van and on the ground in the parking lot.
