Sixty-one Chinese citizens evacuated from Iran's southern port city of Bandar Abbas safely arrived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday amid escalating regional tensions. Iran's worsening conflict with Israel has intensified regional instability, prompting swift evacuation efforts. The Chinese evacuees departed Bandar Abbas on Wednesday evening and reached Sharjah, UAE, on Thursday morning. With the assistance of China's Consulate General in Dubai, they successfully completed the immigration procedures and will return to China based on their individual needs. "Last night, we had a working group coordinating with Khalifa Port, while other colleagues prepared emergency supplies for the evacuees. This morning, our team arrived at the port at six o'clock and maintained close cooperation with the port authorities. We are fully prepared to ensure the safe return of anyone evacuated from Iran to the UAE. As everyone says, the place with the Five-star Red Flag is the safest because we have a great motherland," said Ou Boqian, China's Consul General in Dubai. Evacuees expressed their relief and gratitude for the support from their homeland. "We feel the strong support of our motherland, which makes us feel relieved," said Qing Yang, one of the evacuees. "I am very excited and happy. And I want to express my gratitude to the staff (of the Chinese Consulate General in Dubai) for their dedicated efforts in facilitating our return to the motherland," said He Yingli, another evacuee.
