US, Los Angeles: Downey Pickup Snaps Power Pole In Half Taking Out Power To Area
Los Angeles, United States - June 20, 2025 06/20/2025 01:43 am GMT-0700 DOWNEY, Calif. – Downey police and fire departments responded to a crash on the 9300 block of Florence Avenue. When crews arrived, they found a white Ford F150 that had left the road for reasons that remain unclear and crashed into a power pole. The impact caused the pole to snap in two places, resulting in a power outage for the surrounding area. Both eastbound and westbound traffic on Florence Avenue between Hasty Avenue and Haledon Avenue had been closed as crews worked to repair the damaged pole. It is still unclear whether the driver sustained any injuries in the crash. Notably, the incident occurred directly in front of Downey Fire Station 4.
