VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. — Volusia Sheriff’s Office deputies recently stopped by Lucy’s Lemonade Stand to show their support for pediatric cancer research and honor the legacy of Lucy, who passed away in 2023 after a courageous battle with childhood cancer.

Now in its fourth year, Lucy’s Lemonade Stand has become a symbol of hope and determination. The fundraiser is officially partnered with Fourth and Gold, a nonprofit focused on pediatric cancer awareness and research. Through this partnership, all donations are now tax-deductible, allowing the initiative to reach even more families and researchers in need.

What began as a local effort in 2022 has grown into a community-driven movement. With help from sponsors, volunteers, and supporters like the deputies who stopped for lemonade, Lucy’s mission continues to inspire and make a difference in the lives of children fighting cancer.
