Los Angeles, United States - June 21, 2025 06/20/2025 05:27 pm GMT-0700 SANTA CLARITA, Calif. – Metrolink service through the Santa Clarita Valley was shut down Friday evening after a passenger train struck and killed a pedestrian. The fatal collision occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. along Soledad Canyon Road, just east of Rainbow Glen Drive. According to officials, a Metrolink train traveling through the area struck a person who was on the tracks. It remains unclear how the pedestrian ended up in the train’s path. Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. As a result of the fatality, commuters are advised to seek alternate transportation, as train service in the area has been temporarily suspended.
