US, Bakersfield: Bakersfield Train and Semi Collide
Bakersfield, United States - June 21, 2025 06/21/2025 12:00 am GMT-0700 BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Kern County Fire Department responded to a reinforced rescue call for a train-versus-semi collision at the intersection of Burbank Street and Santa Fe Avenue in Shafter, California. Authorities reported no injuries for either the driver or the passenger of the semi truck, nor the train's passengers and conductor. The semi was traveling eastbound over the train tracks when it was clipped from behind, causing the rear door of the semi to detach and resulting in damage to the back of the empty trailer. The Shafter Police Department remained on the scene to conduct an investigation.
