Storyline: Robots move 7,500-ton building complex back to original site in Shanghai [Voice_over] An entire city block of historic buildings in Shanghai was recently moved in one gigantic piece by an army of mini robots. A 7,500-ton shikumen-style building complex was relocated, as a whole, for renovation and underground development. Starting on May 19, 432 small robots working in unison began moving the 4,000 square meter complex back to its orginal site by 10 meters per day. Three weeks later, on June 3, the move was finished. The buildings were constructed in the 1920's and 30's and blend elements of Western architecture with traditional Jiangnan features. [Restrictions : No access Chinese mainland]
