Phoenix, United States - June 22, 2025 06/22/2025 12:00 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Department of Public Safety troopers and Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to reports of a fiery collision on southbound I-17 near McDowell Road. Troopers arrived to find a sedan engulfed in flames following a collision. Multiple occupants were inside the sedan at the time of the crash. All were able to exit the sedan prior to the arrival of emergency crews. Firefighters arrived a short time later and began working to extinguish the blaze. Additional FD resources responded to assist with triage of the involved occupants. One male was transported to a local trauma center in unknown condition. The southbound I-17 transition ramp to east and westbound I-10 was shut down while troopers investigated the collision.
