Iran: MOTION GRAPHIC - 'Operation Midnight Hammer': A major US strike on Iranian nuclear sites
SHOTLIST: IRAN (MOTION GRAPHIC CREATED ON JUNE 23, 2025) (ANADOLU – ACCESS ALL) 1. MOTION GRAPHIC SHOWING AREAS HIT BY US OPERATION MIDNIGHT HAMMERIRAN - MOTION GRAPHIC CREATED ON JUNE 23: The US conducted a large-scale military operation named "Operation Midnight Hammer" over the weekend, targeting three Iranian nuclear facilities. The strike involved more than 125 aircraft, including seven B-2 stealth bombers, marking one of the largest B-2 operational strike in US history. The bombers flew an 18-hour mission from the United States to the target area, dropping 14 Massive Ordnance Penetrators (MOPs) on two nuclear sites. In total, around 75 precision-guided weapons were used during the operation, supported by numerous fighters, air refueling tankers, a guided missile submarine, and extensive intelligence and reconnaissance assets. According to US officials' claims, initial battle damage assessments indicate all three sites suffered severe destruction. US forces remain on high alert, ready to respond to any potential retaliation or proxy attacks from Iran. Tensions in the region further escalated after US President Donald Trump announced Sunday that American forces carried out “very successful” airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear sites in Fordo, Natanz, and Esfahan, amid growing fears of a broader conflict. Hostilities broke out on June 13 when Israel launched airstrikes on several sites across Iran, including military and nuclear facilities, prompting Tehran to launch retaliatory strikes. Israeli authorities said at least 25 people have been killed and hundreds injured in Iranian missile attacks since then. Meanwhile, in Iran, 430 people have been killed and more than 3,500 wounded in the Israeli assault, according to the Iranian Health Ministry.
