According to eyewitnesses who spoke to Anadolu, Israeli forces withheld the boy’s body for about an hour before handing it over to Palestinian medical teams. A funeral ceremony was held for the boy in Ramallah. Since the start of Israel’s assault on Gaza on Oct. 7, 2023, 978 Palestinians have been killed and more than 7,000 injured in the West Bank by Israeli forces and settlers, the Palestinian Health Ministry said.
